Objectives & Responsibilities
• architecting, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure.
• Designing, building, and deploying cloud-based infrastructure and services, such as virtual machines, containers, serverless computing, databases, storage, and network.
• Designing, developing, and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
• Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
• Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
• Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
• Providing technical guidance and support to customers, helping them troubleshoot issues and optimize their cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to ensure that cloud-based applications meet service-level objectives.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, and sharing knowledge with the team and the wider organization.
• Participating in the development and improvement of cloud engineering processes, tools, and automation, with a focus on improving efficiency, reliability, and security.
• Performing health checks for network stability, vulnerability, and security.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 7 years of experience with minimum of 5 years building cloud experience in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, GCP)
• Industry vendor certifications are desired (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP or CNCF/Kubernetes certifications); although not essential if you have demonstrable ability
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining solutions in Cloud
• Excellent knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Azure DevOps / GitLab
• Strong background in Linux/UNIX administration (e.g. RedHat/CentOS 7/Alpine Linux)
• Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet and Ansible
• Developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/Terragrunt
• Familiar with containers (Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker etc.)
• Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (bash, Powershell, Python)
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring and alerting services and capabilities
• Experience in networking configuration and monitoring.
Preferred Skills
• Cloud Certification(s)
• Kubernetes Certification(s) (CKAD, CKS, etc.)
• TOGAF Certification
• Experience working with financial regulators and PCI-DSS
• cybersecurity SecOps
