We are a cutting-edge technology company that researches mobile phone data points, including date, time, and GPS coordinates. We are looking for an experienced and creative data scientist or algorithm developer who can help us analyze this vast dataset and uncover patterns related to criminal activity and wrongdoing.
The ideal candidate will be able to develop innovative algorithms that can identify potential signs of criminal activities, such as spying, by analyzing the interactions between multiple devices. We are seeking out-of-the-box ideas and "formulas" that can help us identify patterns that may not be obvious at first glance.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement creative algorithms for the analysis of large datasets, with a focus on uncovering patterns of criminal activity
Collaborate with our team to refine and improve the algorithms based on real-world examples and use cases
Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data analysis, machine learning, and related fields
Requirements:
Strong background in data science, statistics, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing algorithms for large-scale data analysis
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application to pattern recognition and anomaly detection
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, R, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
Bonus Points:
Prior experience working with GPS coordinate data or other geospatial data
Familiarity with criminal activity detection and/or intelligence analysis
Experience with distributed computing and big data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
