Needed: experienced Ruby, Ruby on Rails + React.js developer for ongoing development of Qwoted.com.
Qwoted is a global social network that helps media connect with subject matter experts and the PR/Communications professionals who represent them. We are looking for an experienced full stack developer. You will collaborate with the CTO and with the team to: write your own features, to review others’ work & expedite progress on features holistically, to use basic project management skills to triage incoming feature requests & choose the highest impact, lowest effort ones to build.
Qwoted is built with Ruby on Rails & React. We use a mix of ERB templates & React, depending on how user facing and important the feature is.
Must have senior-level proficiency in: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, jQuery, RESTful APIs, Sidekiq, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Heroku, Github, and Minitest. Candidate must be able to understand a large and complicated codebase (over 300k LOC & 100 models), to create new features quickly and efficiently, to be strongly opinionated about development methods in our domain, to review others’ code thoroughly and tactfully, to expedite the progress of features by pitching in, enumerating problems, resolving problems, etc.
Some skills required in: Bootstrap, database architecture, database design, Devise, Pundit, Rails Engines, UI/UX design and product management.
Bonus skills: Algolia, Stripe.
