We are seeking an experienced Python developer to help us fix our existing Python code and turn it into a cross-platform desktop application that can run on both Windows and macOS. Our project involves a custom-built tool that requires adjustments to improve its performance and functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development, experience creating desktop applications for multiple operating systems, and a keen eye for troubleshooting and optimizing code. Responsibilities:
Review and understand the existing Python codebase to identify areas that require optimization and bug fixes
Collaborate with our team to gather specific requirements for the application's functionality
Develop a cross-platform desktop application using a suitable framework that can run seamlessly on both Windows and macOS
Integrate the fixed Python code into the application and ensure its proper functioning
Conduct thorough testing to ensure compatibility and optimal performance on both Windows and macOS
Provide clear documentation on the application's architecture, installation process, and usage
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues reported by users, providing timely updates and fixes
Requirements:
Proven experience creating cross-platform desktop applications for Windows and macOS using a popular framework
Strong knowledge of software design patterns and best practices
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
