Opencart Ebay product importer Module Specifications
Developer will deliver an ebay product importer module that regularly imports products from an
ebay store into the opencart store. The import process can be managed by cron so it can be run at
regular intervals throughout the day to keep the opencart store up to date with the ebay store
products.
These are the requirements of the module:
The module is required to import products from an ebay store and keep the Opencart’s product list
in sync with the Ebay stores products. If a product sells on ebay it should be deleted from the
opencart store. If a product sells on Opencart it should be delisted on the ebay store.
There is no listing of products to ebay, This is an import module.

The Coding of the module will require documentation in the php for all functions for easy
maintenance / updating of code if required.

Importing of Products From Ebay into Opencart store
⦁ The Module should only download ACTIVE products from the ebay store.
⦁ Must be able to import all store products from the ebay store ‐ store has 12,000 products to import
but daily updates are 100-500 products and each day it must only add the new items added to the
ebay store.
⦁ Products must match ebay and contain ‐ all images, title, price, and item specifics.

Syncing with Ebay Store
⦁ The module must check the ebay store products and any products that have ended or have been
removed from the ebay store are deleted in open cart store. All product images related to the
products should be removed / deleted from the server.
⦁ If an item is sold on the open cart store then needs to disable / end on the ebay store Functionality
to check the products are synced correctly with ebay, with a notification graphic indicating store is
synced or is being checked.

Opencart Category mapping
⦁ The Opencart store categories and subcategories must match the Ebay Stores custom categories
exactly. ebay store
⦁ All products imported must go into the correct categories exactly like the ebay store
⦁ The product description will contain all of the ebay the item specifics each on a separate line.

ADDITIONAL MODULE REQUIREMENTS
⦁ Must have the ebay developer marketplace account deletion/closure notification endpoint the
developer api requires.
⦁ must have reporting to confirm what has been imported after each import - not stored in a
database.
⦁ Must work on shared hosting - This is a requirement the product import process should be the
most efficient way to not create a high server load. If this is unavoidable then an alternative solution
must be found to reduce server load.
Importing of products must be fast
Must be coded to ensure efficiency and best practices.
Product Images must not be stored in Database - only the reference name all images should be
downloaded from ebay to a images folder on the server.
⦁ must work with ebay Australia
⦁ must be future proof and must use the current ebay api.
⦁ The ability to display the item specifics in the description so that the admin and product page are
not affected by the html that comes in from ebay product pages.
Must have a clean up process to delete product images that are not associated with products.

Once the module is complete it must be demonstrated to work and function correctly - tested rigorously and shown it will work correctly - must be able to download and update store inventory fast and have a reporting feature.  This testing may occur over multiple days or even a week to confirm any issues and that it works correctly.

6 months support / fixes will need to be supplied.

All code will be owned by us at the end of the project once payment has been made, we would prefer to work with someone  or a company who wishes to have an ongoing relationship and can offer support if there are any issues.
