We are a growing company currently using a custom ERP system built on the 4th Dimension (4D) database platform. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated 4D developer to join our team on a freelance basis to maintain our existing system and develop new features.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance our existing 4D-based ERP system, ensuring its stability, performance, and reliability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new features and enhancements.
Design, develop, and implement new functionality within the 4D environment, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
Optimize and troubleshoot the database, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and other issues.
Use GitHub to collaborate with other developers, sharing code, tracking changes, and managing version control.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including user guides and system specifications.
Provide technical support and assistance to our internal team members, as needed.
Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress, share updates, and address any concerns.
Requirements:

Proven experience working with 4th Dimension (4D) database systems, with a solid understanding of the platform's capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
Proficiency in 4D programming languages and tools, including 4DScript, 4D SQL, and 4D forms.
Experience working on ERP systems, with a strong understanding of business processes and workflows.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
Experience using GitHub or similar version control systems for collaborative development.
A commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and with attention to detail.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
